IIM THIS ISSUE...'pocua a*t THcdtUtAOfrUtuifUf Ptactcce Focusing on multidisciplinary practices, in this issue, we feature an exclusive interview with Dr. Daniel Dalian of Practice Perfect (page 28). Bringing you the latest breaking news, we give you the whole story about Dr. Dalian's company, which has recently been under fire by the All-slate Insurance company. With all of the difficulties many chiropractors are having due to legal issues surrounding multidisciplinary practices. Dr. Dahan's firsthand experience as, both, an expert witness in MD/DC-related trials, and in his own current battle with Allstate, affords a wealth of information which can help you to protect your own practice. This is a really hot issue, right now. But, as Dr. Dalian concludes, "in an attempt to maximize all benefits and optimize all results, while rendering the best of care, an honest doctor can. indeed, integrate his clinic into an incredible healthcare facility." As a case in point, check out our Millionaire Series interview with Dr. Charles Schuster, beginning on page 16. which explores his very successful, primarily insurance-based, multidisciplinary practice. For those of you who are less than enthusiastic about the MD/DC concept. Former ICA President. Bob Braile provides, what he calls, a "Principled" Perspective, in his article beginning on page 33. "Is the Multidisciplinary Approach the Answer for Modern Practice?" Find out Dr. Braile's thoughts and then be sure to tell us what you think on our Fax Back Survey on page 7. Whether you have an integrated practice or not. we think you'll all enjoy Dr. Jeffrey Lewin's article, beginning on page 24. in which he discusses his experiences in mastering "The Art of Delegation", in order to stream-line his practice for greater efficiency, and maintain his focus on his role as a healer. Also, Tedd Koren is back! (See the good news in The Forum, on page 19) And, we've got a new article from him. on page 27. Tedd's got some suggestions for you to turn those MD's in your area into referral centers. What do you think? We know we'll hear—we always do! Another article on practice building is Dr. Allen Miller's Industrial Medicine piece on pages 38 and 39. Dr. Miller proposes working with your MD counterparts, not necessarily as "integration specialists", but simply in the spirit of cooperation, to devise cost-effective proven programs which will appeal to industry and. thus, build your practice. All this, and much, much more, in this special issue! We look forward to hearing from you. as always...so keep those letters, e-mails, and Fax Back Surveys coming!
