IIVI THIS ISSUE...'po.ac^ o-a 7ec«,i$cce4, In the past few issues of TAC, we've provided interviews and topics of discussion centering on the political struggles in chiropractic. And the response from you has been great! But. in this issue, we're taking a break from the political side of the profession and getting back to the heart of what you do-the adjustment. This issue's cover story, featuring "Ten Great Techniques", should help you put your focus back in your own office, where it benefits your patients. While there are definitely a lot more techniques available to learn and prac-; tice, included in this article are a few—some old. some new—to get you started. We're especially excited about our collaboration with the editor for the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR), \ Dr. Matthew McCoy, whose great knowledge of the latest informa-; tion on techniques and research, assisted us in putting this piece! together. You'll find the article, beginning on page 26. Then, be surei to follow-up by filling out our Fax Survey on page 5, and telling us about the techniques you use in your practice, or the ones you'd be interested in seeing featured in future articles. | Additional articles focusing on technique include Dr.Wayne Zemel- ka's "Segmental Drop Adjusting" piece on page 10, and Dr. James Cima's continuation of his Cranial Care series on page 14. I Always a fun and inspiring piece, our Millionaire Series features the industrial medicine practice of Dr. Paul F. Basile. And, if you're interested in industrial medicine, you also need to read Dennis Down-: ing's article on page 50. "Chiropractic, the Forbidden Frontier". We've been receiving an overwhelming response to our reader sur veys! Surprisingly, after we'd tallied the poll results printed in the last issue in response to the reader survey for Issue 1, which featured interviews with Drs. Padgett and Rondberg. we received so many fax surveys through our website that it overloaded our server! Your1 responses were very impressive! The majority of the late arriving responses were in support of Dr. Rondberg's 5 points for legislation. You'll find a few of these comments in The Forum, beginning on page 18. i One of the most surprising—and, often, the funniest!—things we learned with all of these responses to our survey is just how passion ately many of you feel about the preferred spelling of wholistic or holistic. For the record, from now on, when, and if, you see one of these words appear in our magazine, it will appear as spelled when the article was submitted by its author. We're glad to see that you're all paying such close attention to the details. Thanks, again, for all of the time you take to fill out our surveys; whether we print your responses or not, we do try to apply all of your ideas. : So, let us hear from you. Call, e-mail, fax us NOW to give us your thoughts!! And, again, don't forget to fill out the Reader Survey on page 5 or online at www.amchiropractor.com . Jaclyn Busch For chiropractic.
