IN THIS ISSUE... Our cover story this issue features millionaire chiropractor and mother-to-be, Dr. Amelia Case and her successful "old fashioned" chiropractic practice in Chicago, IL. Dr. Case's interview is delightfully candid, entertaining, and sure to inspire! If you're wondering about the photo of Dr. Case with Yoda on the front cover of the magazine, turn to page 10 fora glimpse of how Dr. Case uses The Force in her practice! In response to your requests for more information on chiropractic technique, we're featuring an in-depth article by Dr. Jesse Jutkowitz, "About Chiropractic and Effectiveness", in which he discusses the role that the bones and the nervous system play in the cause and correction of subluxations, and why. It's an interesting perspective that led him to develop the Advanced Biostructural Technique, about which you may want to find out more. Check it out, beginning on page 32. Also, on page 14, Dr. Stuart Warner discusses the importance of establishing an accurate adjustment schedule FOR KIDS, in his article, "How Many Times Do Children Need to be Adjusted". This is the first in. what we hope to become, a series of informative articles on chiropractic pediatrics, so be sure to send us your questions, concerns, and comments for use in future issues. Dr. Terry Yochum's X-ray column is being very well received and, on page 8. Dr. Yochum gives you tips on what to ask and what to look for before you buy any new X-ray equipment. If you're not in the market for new equipment now, you might want to hang on to this article! Nutritionally speaking, we have two excellent articles. First on page 18, Dr. Lynn Toohey explains "The Nutritional Connection to 'Leaky Gut'", making specific suggestions as to nutritional supplements to help maintain and fortify the integrity of the intestinal lining. Then, on page 42. Dr. David Seaman targets a very serious factor influencing your patients' health-fat! And, for once, FAT can be the GOOD guy.. .if you know the difference between the "good" and "bad" fats. Read Dr. Seaman's article, "The Nutritional Adjustment" and start spreading the word about getting MORE FAT in your patients' diets. Good fat, that is! All this is just a sampling of what this issue has in store for you! There's so much more to keep you informed, and assist you in your practice. I did have the privilege of sitting in on Breakthrough Coaching's conference in New York City, from May 16-18"', as a part of our Seminar Tour, and I invite you to share that experience with me by turning to page 38. Finally, we invite you, too, to visit us online at www.chirofusion.com. While you're there, don't forget to register your practice in our new DC directory, if you haven't already done so, to get FREE referrals!!! And, as always, we welcome your comments on our articles online, so we can continue to bring you more of the stories and information you're looking for! For chiropractic. Jaclyn Busch Touzard
