The 7 Motivators for Peak Performance
Eric Kaplan
There are seven motivators you must implement if you want to achieve all that is possible for you in life and practice. You can learn these disciplines through practice and repetition until they become automatic. Malcolm Gladwell discusses this in his book "Outliers" the hours you must put in to succeed, he says 10,000 hours. To accomplish this task like any great task discipline is germane. Did you think the work ended with school, that they just give you your diploma. The work now begins, success is not a chance destiny, it is a choice. Choose to be the best, choose to be successful.
1. Goal Setting
"Goal setting," is the first step toward "goal getting."
Every morning, take five minutes to write out your top goals in the present tense. Get a spiral notebook for this purpose. By writing out your ten goals at the beginning of each day, you will program them deep into your subconscious mind.
At the end of the day review your sheet, those that you did not accomplish carry over to the next day. Let's get done tomorrow what we didn't get done today.
This daily goal writing will activate your mental powers. It will stimulate your mind and make you more alert. Throughout the day, you will see opportunities and possibilities to move more rapidly toward your goals. For more information go to www.5minutemotivator.com.
2. Planning and Organizing
Take a five minutes each day, preferably the night before,
to plan out every activity of the coming day. Always work from a list and keep this list with you. The secret is to learn to think on paper. This is one of the most powerful and important systems of all for high performance. You
must run your life with the same organization, you run your job. My office is full of lists, I gave my staff lists to accomplish regularly.

3. Priority Setting
The secret of all time management, personal management, and life management is contained in your ability to set the proper priorities on the use of your time. This is essential for peak performance.
What are your priorities? Priorities help us set goals. Put them down in writing or highlight them on your goal sheet. List them in order of their importance.
4. Concentrate on Value Activities
Your ability to work single-mindedly on your most important task will contribute as much to your success as any other discipline you can develop. You must focus on your priorities and put them at value level. The greater the priority, the higher on the list you must put it down. If new patients are # 1, then get on the phone and call Perry today. If it is collections, my office awaits your call.
Relationships are I just celebrated my 34 wedding anniversary. My wife is my best friend', my partner, we work on our relationship. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong
What is your # 1 office priority? Once you figure this out we can attackthis area of weakness and make it a strength.
5. Exercise and Proper Nutrition
As a Chiropractic Assistant you must spend the time to look the part. The stress of practice can often wear you down. Remember your health is more important than anything else, itshould be your# 1 priority. By disciplining yourself to exercise regularly and to eat carefully, you will promote the highest possible levels of health and fitness throughout your life.
6. Learning and Growth
Your mind is like a muscle. If you don't use it, you lose it. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field. Your years of school stretched your brain to new limits. Well like any muscle you must continue
to utilize it or it will atrophy. You should set a goal, make a priority, to read more literature on chiropractic, nutrition, be the best you can be, and the patients will notice and follow your lead.
7. Time for Important People in your Life
Relationships are everything, I just celebrated my 34 wedding anniversary. My wife is my best friend, my partner, we work on our relationship. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong building. Build time for your relationships into every day, no matter how busy you get.
These seven motivators only take 5 minutes per day and will ensure that you perform at thehighest level and get the greatest satisfaction and results from everything you do.
