One of my most successful cases was that of a four-year-old boy diagnosed with autism. He had one of the severest cases of its kind. His symptoms included uncontrollable behavior, a flapping movement with his hands that could persist for hours, nodding his head and rocking while staring into the corner of a room. His case required intervention and the parents had social workers coming to the house two to three times per week. "Jimmy" came to my office and was examined via the standard Nutrition Response Testing procedure. I designed a nutritional protocol based on my findings and made some dietary recommendations. His mother noticed substantial improvements over the next several weeks with decreased length of incidents and less severity. By six weeks he was so substantially improved that the social workers commented how improved he was and couldn't believe the dramatic changes "all of a sudden." Over the next few weeks, Jimmy continued t( improve to the point that virtually all of his symptoms were gone, so much so that the social workers wrapped up their program with Jimmy and discontinued their visits since he was now "normal" according to their standards.
