Chronic Diseases: What Would DD Say?

T hat the world is plagued by disease is made painfully evident by the large number of Internet search results for each of a long list of health issues. Cardiovascular diseases arc the number one cause of death globally. The US has the 3rd largest number of confirmed cases of diabetes in the world. One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia. From age 10 and up cancer and suicide arc in the top three causes of death. At age 35 heart diseases takes third place and bumps suicide to fourth. Statistics don't give us any reason to believe that things arc changing for the better as the trend lines arc indicating an increasing incidence of chronic diseases starting at a much earlier age. This trend has continued in spite of new medical therapies and technologies. With more than half of all Americans suffering from one or more chronic diseases, chiropractors should position themselves to offer a solution. They have an incredible opportunity to use their skills and knowledge to paint color and hope into this dismal picture. It is a hope not only for increased quality of life, but also offer hope for wcllncss. In The Chiropractic's Adjuster. D.D. Palmer. D.C. wrote, "...the basic principles of our science is that too much or not enough energy is disease." (1910. p. 36) In a healthy body this energy flows like a river, smooth and easy with a balanced rhythm providing nourishment and life to all organs, glands, cells and systems. It's a body at case. Too much energy is like a river at flood stage overflowing its banks, collecting excess debris and causing crisis situations as the backup systems of street drains, sub pumps in basements, levecs and dykes all strain under the excessive burden. If the backup systems fail roads arc washed away, basements flood, homes arc destroyed, sewage systems spill over into our environment, and there is sometimes even a loss of life. Too much energy in the human body has a similar effect. The body ceases to function optimally due to an excess of chemical debris (toxins), emotional debris (autosuggestion) and/or structural debris (traumas). The high energy situation can cause symptoms of pain, inflammation, enlarged organs, allergies, anxiety, etc. The opposite extreme—too little energy can be just as devastating. Imagine the same beautiful river drying up due to drought. In severe cases the earth dries up. plant life no longer thrives, crops cannot grow, animals move away or starve, and people move away or starve. Again, in worse case scenarios death ensues. A body with too little energy in a sense dries up as well. There is a lack. This can be caused by dehydration, malnutrition, emotional blocks, and/or stnictural issues shutting down the energy through the nervous system to the various organs. Symptoms may include chronic subluxations. dry skin, fatigue, under functioning organs, etc. Google Search Results: Chronic Disease Acne 64,100,000 Addison's Disease 655,000 AIDS 59,200,000 Allergies 52,400,00 Alzheimer's Disease 27,500,000 Arthritis 53,900,000 Asthma 58,600,000 Breast Cancer 186, 000,000 Cancer 382,000,000 Cataracts 4,090,000 Chronic Fatigue Syndrome 12,400,000 Crohn's Disease 7,660,000 Cystic Fibrosis 20,400,000 Depression 142,000,000 Diabetes 172,000,000 Fibromyalgia 12,900,000 Glaucoma 12,200,000 Gout 21,900,000 Heart Disease 183,000,000 High Blood Pressure 108,000,000 Kidney Failure 22,000,000 Leukemia 21,400,000 Lupus 28,400,000 Lyme's Disease 20,400,000 Melanoma 11,100,000 Memory Loss 91,100,000 Multiple Sclerosis 32,900,000 Neuropathy 10,300,000 Parkinson's Disease 46,100,000 Pancreatitis 4,940,000 Prostate Cancer 44,900,000 Psoriasis 17,000,000 Rheumatoid Arthritis 28,100,000 Seizure 26,600,000 Strokes 25,900,000 Too much or too little energy puts a body in the state of disease. If unresolved, a domino effect occurs. The imbalance of energy causes organs and glands to become dysfunctional and inhibits cells from regenerating, repairing and growing in a healthy manner. The eventual, long-term effect of dis-ease is disease, as we know it today. Chiropractic offers hope and a solution to those with chronic diseases as it uncovers the cause of dis-ease (VSC) with its 8 physical and eight chemical components. By addressing and balancing the body as it works together as whole using DD Palmcr"s triad of wcllncss: structures (traumas), emotions (autosuggestion), and chemistry (toxins), one can offer patients solutions and hope for a bright, colorful future of wcllncss. Dick Yersemlaal has been called a "pioneer of chiropractic ". lie studied under BJ Palmer at Palmer C 'allege of Chiropractic where he developed a solid chiropractic foundation. Over the years he developed Contact Reflex Analysis, a technique that addresses the suhluxation complex (trauma), nutritional imbalances (toxins), and emotional (autosuggestion) causes of dis-ease. llsit www.CKiwellness.com for a list ofCR.[ seminars. ]lsit www.1erlltaProducts.com to view the nutritional and essential oil line he developed to address these issues with minimal inventory. Dawn Hoezee, M/i is the daughter of Dr. Dick lersendaal and owner ofCR.1 ((ellness.
