■ St. Louis, MO: Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs announced today at a special indoor "groundbreak­ing" ITS PLAN TO BUILD A NEW 17,000 SQUARE-FOOT EDUCATIONAL WING AT THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE MAIN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING ON THE SCHOOL'S SUBURBAN CHESTERFIELD, Mo. CAMPUS. Dr. GEORGE A. Goodman, Logan president, said the $4.9 million project, WHICH WILL BE FUNDED THROUGH PRIVATE DONATIONS, WILL EXTEND FOR APPROXIMATELY 13 MONTHS INCLUDING DESIGN AND CONSTRUC­TION. College officials expect the project to be completed by January 2012. The new Logan educational wing, which will be a multi-level facility, will feature a state-the-art assessment center on the ground level for utilizing standardized patients. The lower level will have a smart classroom that can accommodate 133 students; and an adjoining outdoor plaza with a sculptured fountain and natural benches that provide for comfortable study and a gathering place. The second floor will include an admissions/financial aid suite. Logan College has approximately 1,100 students at its 112-acre campus located in west St. Louis County. It was established in 1935 and is one of the largest chiropractic college or universities in the United States. Logan provides health care for patients in the St. Louis metropolitan area through eight local health centers in St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
