Dear Doctor, Welcome Back to the pages of The American Chiropractor (TAC) Magazine, your # 1 resource for practice success! This issue you may have noticed from our cover, the feature interview is with Dr. Christopher Kent. Some of his accomplishments include participating with the World Health Organization in creating the Guidelines on Basic Training and Safety in Chiropractic, serving as President of the Council on Chiropractic Practice, being a member of the California state bar, as well as past board member of the ICA and WCA, and Co-founder of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance. We've asked the questions so you may learn exactly what it is that drives Dr. Kent to be so prolific in his efforts across the profession! That's not all, this issue is a literal goldmine of tips for restoring and maintaining health for you and your patients! I encourage you all to take a look at each author's input... these guys are doing great! Let us know what you think. Fire us out a commentary online, www.amchiropractor.com. As you read this you may wonder, "do they really comment on all the letters they get". The Answer is YES! It is important for us to address those needs that you all have. Please view this magazine as a vehicle for you to bridge those gaps in communication witli your colleagues. Our interest is to be as unbiased as possible, while maintaining the highest editorial standards. If you think we're to the Left or Right, let us know. One letter we sifted through, amidst the sometimes comical array of junk e-mails we get, was from a doctor requesting some guidance on dealing with burnout. So I pose this question to you, Doctor, what do you do to deal with burnout? How have you stayed so motivated through the years? Send it to me, and we'll work on getting it published in an upcoming issue! To get you started thinking about solutions to burnout, Dr. Bruce Parker provides some useful insights in his article beginning on page 10. On another note, you'll notice the BPA Worldwide Member logo at the bottom of this page. This is our latest accomplishment that we're proud to show off! It means that THE AMERICAN CHIROPRACTOR has verified its monthly (per issue) mailing to at least 35,000 chiropractors every issue. This is more a service for our advertisers, but you as our readers can appreciate that an auditing process of this magnitude is a rigorous one and acceptance as a member is an honor and a sign of our commitment to maintaining high standards and integrity for the chiropractic profession. CHIROPRACTIC '08, the international symposium sponsored by TAC and Co-Sponsored by the World Federation of Chiropractic, is continuing to develop. Recent additions to the speaker schedule include Dr. George LeBeau, Dr. Gerry Mattia as well as Dr. L. John Faye. Don't miss this chance to see these great teachers...and more, all in one place!
