In this issue... Y ou'll find a comprehensive feature on all of the 17 chiropractic colleges within the United States, beginning on page 20. We've done extensive research by contacting all of the schools to get their latest information on enrollment numbers, techniques offered, adjusting tools implemented, and the equipment they use for diagnosis. You won't find this much up-to-date information on all the schools in one place anywhere else but here; and with good reason. It's a lot of work to get it! We're exhausted, but the end result is worth all the effort. At a glance, you can get a very good idea of who's doing what and where in the schools. Now you can use this information to further help shape the future of the profession by becoming active in your own alma mater again. If you've got ideas for improvement in the schools, contact the schools or, at the very least, send us a letter with your ideas! We'll do our best to put your plans into action. To answer questions about the governing bodies that oversee chiropractic education, ensuring that the schools are meeting the student's needs, you'll want to refer to "What Is Accreditation", a brief background on the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), as stated by the CCE president, Dr. Joseph Brimhall, on page 23. Also, the National Board of Chiropractic Examiner's (NBCE) President, Dr. James Badge, answers some of our questions about the "NBCE: Its Role and the Future of Chiropractic Education" on page 37. In addition to reading all these useful feature stories yourself, don't forget to hold on to this issue for future reference. It will come in very handy for anyone who's interested in becoming a chiropractor. Now you're armed with a resource to really help get them started! And, to further arm you with the knowledge you need, for the past few months, The American Chiropractor has been spending endless hours in meetings, on the phone, and by email corresponding with the best and most knowledgeable leaders on chiropractic technique and healing to put together TAC's first Annual Chiropractic International Symposium, to be held in the Republic of Panama, February 12lh to the I5'\2OO6 CHIROPRACTIC '06: Global Chiropractic Expo. Turn now to pages 31 to 36 to find all the details, along with your invitation to attend and to share your vision for chiropractic and healing. We're looking forward to seeing YOU here in Panama!
