In this issue... W e're beginning the last quarter of the year, with football season commencing once again, so there's no better time to take a close look at your own sports, exercise and rehabilitation center and be ready to treat those ailing athletes. And to help you out in that area we've pulled together a wealth of information for you in this issue! Beginning with Dr. Daniel Dalian's article "Step by Step Rehab Center", on page 16, you can find out exactly how to get started in rehabilitation or to make sure your pre-existing rehabilitation center includes the basic equipment. Dr. Dalian also includes a list of insurance billing codes, as well as "step by step" instructions on what you need to do before you're ready to open shop. Since Dr. Dahan teaches hundreds of doctors all over the United States how to set up successful multi-disciplinary facilities, we asked him to help us expand on his article with a complete list of brand name products to assist you in outfitting your own rehab center. After quizzing his most successful clients for information on which products work best for them and their patients. Dr. Dahan has chosen the most affordable and effective products which we've featured in the "Best Buys " in Rehab, on pages 34 and 35. A big thanks to Dr. Dahan for taking the time to call all of the companies featured (and more) to allow us to bring you this useful information so you don't have to do all the homework yourself. Now, take a look and let us know what you think! And if we've missed any products you can't live without, let us know so we can include them in an upcoming issue! On the cover this month, a 1981 Palmer graduate, Dr. Tim Weir, is highlighted for his highly successful multi-disciplinary practice in North Carolina. Dr. Weir's practice philosophy is "Get well, have fun," and while reading his interview you can feel the energy and enthusiasm emanating from his words of wisdom. This is an especially uplifting and informative interview that begins page 18. You're certain to come away from it with new ideas! Finally, on technique. Dr. Paul Yanick, author at Quantum Medicine: A Guide to the New Medicine of the 21s' Century", gives you an overview of his own "Quantum Repatterning Technique", on page 50. Having read Dr. Yanick's book, I can only tell you that his perspective of the body's health and system of communication being based on the scientific principles of cellular resonance is amazing! You'll definitely want to find out more! Of course, there's much more worthwhile reading, as usual. So, enjoy! And, keep up the great work! Jaclyn Busch Touzard [email protected] For chiropractic.
