In this issue... W elcome to our third annual technique issue, featuring "Ten 'More' Great Techniques"! This year, we are honored to have as our guest author for the introduction to the technique collection Dr. Donald Epstein, the developer of the Network Spinal Analysis technique. In his preface, "Chiropractic Technique: Finding the Right Fit," beginning on page 18, Dr. Epstein offers you guidelines to consider for finding and choosing the right technique for you and for your patients. He, also, very perceptively points out an issue that should be of great concern to all of us, which is that new technique developers, the living pioneers in our profession, generally get very little credit, recognition or support for their efforts from the colleges, or even their colleagues; whereas, in reality, it is these very advances in technique—thanks to their developers—that keep chiropractic alive and growing. Now, since this is our third year featuring ten techniques, we've already covered many of the more "popular" techniques. That being said, you may not recognize some of the techniques featured this year. In fact, while we were compiling the list of techniques to highlight in this issue, I was discussing it with one of our doctor consultants, who said to me, "Why don't you just call it, 'Ten Techniques Nobody Has Ever Even Heard Of?'!" Well, as we all know, "What is popular is not always good for you." Each of these techniques does have a following and they're all working for somebody! So be sure to keep an open mind and familiarize yourself with "Ten 'More'Great Techniques" beginning on page 18. As an adjunct to the technique feature, we've included a Table Company directory on page 44 with information provided by each company listed as to the kinds and brands of tables they market and/or manufacture. No confusing charts or graphs; just the facts on what you can get table-wise, and where. Finally, our Millionaire Chiropractor series is back with a new name and a new format! Million Dollar Chiropractic, beginning on page 28, focuses on Dr. Deane Mink, a highly successful Palmer graduate, from Valdosta, Georgia, currently in his 42nd year in practice! Dr. Mink's interview also includes our most complete "Success Tool Kit" yet on page 30, indicating what types of adjusting tables, equipment, computer software, etc., he uses to keep his successful practice running smoothly and getting great results. Read on and let us know what you think! Jaclyn Busch Touzard [email protected] Keep up the great work! For chiropractic,
