Issue & Closing Dates
The American Chiropractor is issued 13 times annually with an on-line sourcebook—A Buyers Guide and Doctors Referral Directory. Advertising closes on the 30th of the month preceding publication month. Cancellations are not accepted after the closing date. Cover schedules can only be cancelled with a 90 day notice preceding closing date. Advertisements submitted after ad material deadline will be charged penalties at prevailing rates. All advertising is subject to approval of the publisher. |

Production Requirements
The American Chiropractor has gone CTP (computer to plate) so ads must be sent digitally. Here are the guidelines for supplying artwork to us.
Electronic art
When submitting art please:
- Include all fonts or convert them to paths, and all supporting graphics, a color printout of the art and a completed disk output form.
- Images must be saved as TIF or EPS (CMYK, binary) if applicable in Photoshop or Illustrator and 300 dpi in PC format.

Payment Terms
Payment must be received no later than 20 days before the magazine mails. Payment may be in the form of credit card or wire transfer. Checks must be received along with artwork, no less than 30 days prior to mail date. If your payment is not received, your ad may be pulled.
Commission Cash Discounts
15% of gross on space, color, bleed and special position allowed recognized agencies. Agency discount disallowed on accounts over 30 days. Payment liability rests with company requesting space, whether client or agency. Short rate applies. Contract schedule serves as insertion orders.
Editorial Profile
The American Chiropractor features articles about chiropractic science and research, technique and adjunctive therapies, diagnostic historical perspective, chiropractic philosophy and education, and sports medicine and rehabilitation. Also showcases new products and news from the world of chiropractic, in-depth profile of outstanding achievers in the field of chiropractic. For the health care professional. (Peer reviewed.)
Circulation
30-35,000+ per issue, paid and controlled, plus college students nationwide. Monthly circulation is verified by sworn statement of the publisher based on post office receipts. Regional editions are not available.
Classified Rates
$2.00 per word, minimum $60.00. Display classifieds: $90 per column inch (column width is 2-1/8"only). Payment, which is non-commissionable, must accompany order. Absolute deadlines are the first of the month preceding publication month. A 10% discount is allowed on prepayment of 13X insertion. |
