Québec, Canada – April 3rd, 2014 – ImaSight™, the chiropractic industry’s pioneer in digital x-ray imaging systems, announces the launch of VisionXpert™, its newest, most intuitive software to date. This updated software product moves the modernization of digital radiography forward with comprehensive features and an instinctual user interface, responding once again to industry demands.

imasightlglogo“The development of VisionXpert evolved out of our company’s core value to not only respond to user feedback, but to aggressively anticipate and satisfy unmet needs with product innovation,” says Steve Johnston, Vice President and Co-founder of ImaSight.

“VisionXpert provides the means for doctors to modernize their practices and immediately offer a greatly enhanced level of patient care. This new software creates high-quality, annotated digital x-rays that are useful as illustrative diagnostic tools. Doctors can store for future reference and also share with patients during the same visit or by CD and email.”

VisionXpert offers several key features that help chiropractors quickly assess and deliver a patient’s medical status, including:
  • A simple, faster and more robust user interface that operates like a dashboard
  • Powerful annotation tools that include Cobb’s angle and the Gonstead ruler
  • Diagnostic algorithms designed specifically for chiropractic review
  • Seamless integration into more EHR systems than any competing product
  • Full DICOM compliance that supports a fully digital workflow
  • Tele-diagnostic capability to provide medical services from a distance
VisionXpert’s new software features transform any practice into one that is technologically progressive, more efficient and more profitable. ImaSight’s commitment to the profession means their product offerings deliver the highest quality images at the lowest price point on the market.
“What sets ImaSight’s software apart is our commitment to the ongoing modernization and evolution of digital radiography. Product evolution must be responsive as changes in the chiropractic industry occur,” adds Mr. Johnston. “We invest a great deal in software development because we care about the success and growth of the industry. We look forward to seeing the positive impact VisionXpert has on the quality and success of our clients’ practices.”

ImaSight believes that every patient benefits from seeing visual case references. This aids in patient understanding of health needs and progress over time. According to IAEA, the benefits of digital radiology are enormous. With a filmless radiological department, a doctor can view images on a desktop and report out immediately after the examination.

VisionXpert’s enhanced user interface and annotation tools make it much easier for doctors to share, track and measure progress. This deeper “partnering” not only helps the patient better understand their progress, it has the added benefit of increasing the length of stay.

Integrative Therapeutics™ Introduces HPA Axis Optimization Program*
Press Release

GREEN BAY, WI (March 26th, 2014) — From the makers of Cortisol Manager™ comes a new suite of neuroendocrine products designed to support optimal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis function.*

hpaaxisoptThe HPA axis is the central part of the neuroendocrine system that controls the stress response. Because the impact of stress is individualized and varied in its outcome, thorough practitioner analysis of each patient is critical.

Integrative Therapeutics has designed their new HPA Axis Optimization Program to help healthcare professionals accurately assess common and complex symptoms within various stress response stages - thereby improving patients' ability to respond and adapt to stressful stimuli while promoting energy recovery and restorative sleep.*

“Although Cortisol Manager continues to be our most-utilized option for early-stage stress resistance, our research and development team has identified several key nutrients for supporting patients experiencing mid- and late-stage symptoms,” explains Mandy Kraynik, Vice President of Integrative Therapeutics.

Patients in the mid-stage of the stress response can benefit from a targeted non-stimulating adaptogen formula to support the body’s ability to respond to stress via the HPA axis.* Whereas patients in the late-stage of the stress response benefit from adrenal-supportive supplementation to support healthy cortisol production and often require unique nutrients to support a restorative sleep cycle.*

Based on these findings, Integrative has added HPA Adapt™, CortiVive™, and Sleep Reset™ to their neuroendocrine portfolio. For more information on these products and the HPA Axis Optimization Program, visit

Two Minute Exercise Relieves Chronic Neck Pain
Press Release

Study shows simple elastic resistance exercise effective in significantly reducing pain and increasing muscle strength in the neck and shoulder muscles.

Akron, Ohio – March 5, 2014 – A study recently published in BioMed Research International showed a 40% decrease in neck and shoulder pain intensity and a 6% increase in isometric muscle strength for participants in a 10-week, two-minute daily elastic resistance training program. The study, conducted at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Copenhagen, Denmark, investigated the effects of resistance training on occupational muscle activity in 30 female office workers with chronic pain.

neckpainchronic“The increase in the number of individuals working in sedentary careers coupled with their time spent in front of a computer increases the time of static body postures and repetitive movements of the arm, shoulder and hands, which has been associated with the development of musculoskeletal disorders,” stated Lars L. Andersen, PhD, researcher with the National Research Centre for the Working Environment. “This has both individual and social consequences as neck and shoulder pain has been show to increase the risk for long-term absence from work. Females may be at higher risk due to the differences in work tasks, work techniques and possible lower muscle strength. Review of previous studies show that women with a history of neck pain are the strongest predictors for the development of neck pain for those working with computers, thus our study included only female participants.”

This 30-participant study is nested in a larger randomized control trial of 198 participants. That trial utilized TheraBand™ Elastic Tubing with handles for an exercise routine using only one exercise for either two or 12 minutes and participants were randomly assigned to either a non-exercising control group, a two-minute exercise group, or a 12-minute exercise group. The exercise groups performed a lateral raise with the arm slightly in front of the body while using elastic tubing for resistance. After 10 weeks, both exercise groups significantly reduced their neck/shoulder pain and tenderness, and significantly increased their strength compared to the control group. There was no significant difference between the exercise groups.

For this recent 30-participatnt analysis, half of the workers participated in the daily two-minute training program while a control group of 15 received weekly e-mail information on general health. The researchers were particularly interested in the mechanisms of pain reduction in the group performing a single set of exercises to failure within two minutes and the resulting EMG measurements. These time-consuming daily measurements were not possible within the larger trial.

After the 10-week program, the researchers concluded that the single set of two-minute TheraBand exercise to failure can significantly reduce pain and tenderness in female office workers with neck/shoulder pain.

Office workers and companies can purchase TheraBand Elastic Tubing referenced in the research at
