GREEN BAY, WI (August 29, 2014) – Beginning September 2014, Corey Schuler, MS, DC, CNS, LN will present Exposing the Effects of Modern Stress: Nutritional Strategies to Optimize the HPA Axis. Dr. Schuler’s education tour, sponsored by Integrative Therapeutics, will include 14 cities nationwide and starts September 10th in St. Paul, MN.

About Corey Schuler
Dr. Schuler is director of the Metabolic Treatment Center in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. He is a board-certified nutrition specialist, licensed nutritionist, and chiropractic physician who graduated from the University of Bridgeport and Northwestern Health Sciences University. His clinical practice is focused on mood, behavior, and metabolic health. Dr. Schuler is also a doctoral candidate in behavioral health at Arizona State University. His research interests revolve around neuroendocrine factors of chronic health conditions.

Dr. Schuler is on faculty at the School of Applied Clinical Nutrition at New York Chiropractic College. Multi Radiance Medical Announces a Ground-Breaking Achievement in Translational Research

SOLON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Multi Radiance Medical (MRM), manufacturer and marketer of FDA-cleared lasers for drug-free pain relief, announces that its Clinical Research Trial for treating Knee Pain is among the first translational research studies performed with Photobiomodulation.

“This study is ground-breaking in the sense that it moves the research in Photobiomodulation from statistically significant to clinically significant,” states Max Kanarsky, President and CEO of Multi Radiance. “This is the new gold standard in research, a level even above evidence based research.”

The study was conducted with the MRM MR4 Super Pulsed Laser in a randomized double-blind placebo controlled environment with the following conclusions:
  • Photobiomodulation significantly decreased pain and significantly improved SF-36® physical component summary at post-treatments and follow-up assessments compared to placebo.
  • Outcomes were maintained at the 30 day follow up.
  • A combination of super pulsed laser, red and infrared LEDs is effective for decreasing pain and improving the quality of life in patients with knee pain.
The Study included 86 patients being treated for all types of knee pain with a standard methodology call the Priority Principle™. The methodology was developed by Douglas S. Johnson, ATC, EES, CLS who was closely involved with the project.

“The article was accepted for publication by Lasers in Medical Science and is now available as an e-publication ahead of print,” Johnson said. “We will also be presenting the findings at the upcoming joint meeting of the World Association of Laser Therapy and the North American Association of Laser and Light Therapy held this September in Washington, DC.”

Dr. Ernesto Leal Junior, PhD, PT, the lead researcher on the study and a prominent researcher in the field of Photobiomodulation, states, “This study represents a shift in research since we focused on patient-based outcomes. Currently, research in the Photobiomodulation field has generated outcomes that generally are difficult to translate into clinical practice, which creates a gap. Undoubtedly, this study fills the gap and represents real translational research.”

New software contains many newly enhanced features and includes a miniPACS

xmaruFort Lee, N.J. July 28, 2014 -Rayence announced today that they will begin shipping their flat panel detectors with newly enhanced XmaruView V1 image acquisition software. The new software, which was a year in the making, is the third version of image acquisition software developed by Rayence in as many years. The software, which is Microsoft Window 8.1 ready, features a new image processing engine with advanced anatomical algorithms, four newly developed consoles for Medical, Chiropractic, Veterinary and Podiatry applications, and includes a miniPACS.

“The introduction of the new V1 software allows us to broaden our market,” said Stalin Calvache, Chief Technology Officer for Rayence. “Many of new features put into the software are similar to those found in higher priced digital detector solutions,” Calvache went on to say.

Along with software enhancements to Auto Masking and Auto Cropping is the addition of Image Cloning and programmable GPR (Grid Pattern Removal) selection that is grid and destination specific. To Help Understand the Impact of Functional Foot Orthotics, Foot Levelers a Body of Knowledge Leader

Included in the 37 research studies showing the effectiveness of Stabilizing Orthotics are: Radiographic Evaluation of Weight Bearing Orthotics and Their Effects on Flexible Pes Planus (Kuhn, Shibley, Austin, and Yochum); Orthotics, a Correlation to Spinal Biomechanics (Kuhn, Tremba, and Nosco); and Leg Length Inequality Case Study – Three Dimensional Movement Analysis of the Effects of Foot Orthotics and Heel Lift (Woodward and Ball).
Along with the others, all of the mentioned studies have had a tremendous impact on the chiropractic community and how it integrates Stabilizing Orthotics as functional orthotics for patient care.

ROANOKE, Virginia —Foot Levelers has finalized and announced its 2014 Fall Seminar schedule, a series highlighted by eight speakers, 29 locations throughout North America, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from seven chiropractic colleges. The seminars cover a range of topics from billing and coding to extremity adjusting, from low back stabilization to imaging. The Foot Levelers seminar series is designed to support chiropractic professionals by providing informative, entertaining courses that also offer licensing credits.

footleverslogo2Among this fall’s topics are Advanced Extremity Adjusting: Deliberate Practice Protocols by Dr. Mark Charrette, The Kinetic Chain and Low Back Stabilization by Dr. Manuel Duarte, and Biomechanics, Imaging, and the High School by Drs. Terry Yochum and Tim Maggs.

Dr. Dar Griffeth also is also presenting From the Ground Up, a review of how the feet can create postural distortions and the resulting effects on the biomechanics of the kinetic chain.
